ABOUT

Property Management You Can Trust

At McElroy Management Associates, (MMA) we know the local real estate market. Since 1997 our professional and friendly staff have been helping people like you with all of their property management needs. Our sensitivity to the marketplace comes from a single yet powerful perspective: Los Angeles and the surrounding area is more than just a market, it’s our home.

OUR MISSION

The city never sleeps and neither do we.

MMA is family owned and operated. With this in mind, our clients and the properties we manage for them are cared for by a small staff with an attention to detail which is often overlooked by larger management companies.

Meet the Team

Working hard so you don't have to.

ANNA MCELROY

President & Broker Officer

Anna joined Management Associates Inc. (MAI) in 2002 and was Vice President of the company until 2015. In 2016 Anna became the President of MAI until 2018 when she launched her own company McElroy Management Associates, Inc. (MMA). She is a Real Estate Broker licensed in the State of California and a Section 8 Occupancy Specialist certified by the Affordable Housing Management Association (AHMA). Anna has a background in law earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law & Society from the University of California in Santa Barbara. She was also chosen for a prestigious internship program at The Georgetown University School of Law where she investigated cases for attorneys representing indigent clients. Anna's legal background has served her well in real estate management. She also participates in continuing educational courses affiliated with the Apartment Owners Association of Los Angeles (AOA), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and AHMA.

As President, Anna is directly involved in all aspects of property management at MMA.  She exclusively runs the company's management divisions for single family homes, and homeowners associations, in addition to processing the Section 8 contracts for those owners and tenants participating in subsidized housing programs.

Many of her clients live out of state or out of the country which has given her a lot of experience in helping clients feel comfortable with services provided in their absence. She has become somewhat of a specialist in the extra attention required to service those clients effectively.

Over the years, Anna has developed a keen understanding of the specific needs of the demographics in each of the communities we do business in. She is constantly working on programs to improve the tenant/landlord relationship in both the conventional and subsidized housing properties that we manage.

FELICITY ALSTON

Operations Manager

Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska Felicity started her journey South to The University of Oklahoma where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Education. After working in Education for a short time, Felicity decided to move to Southern California, a place she had always wanted to live. In Los Angeles, she started her career in hospitality working her way up to management, and later becoming the general manager of an exclusive restaurant in a highly competitive environment in Hermosa Beach. Making the decision to move beyond this industry, Felicity's diverse background and experience, including coordinating projects, managing events and working with people from all walks of life provided her with all of the key elements to thrive as an organizational leader for our corporate office team.

DON IMEL

Controller

Don's experience in property management covers the past 40 years in various capacities. For 19 of those years, Don was the Vice President of Finance at one of the largest and most reputable management companies in Southern California. Don was in charge of all the financial operations which included handling all insurance for their properties. He was also in charge of their banking relationships and was actively involved in financing and re-financing loans for many of the company's properties, including HUD properties which comprised nearly two thirds of their clientele. Simultaneously, Don was Vice President of the corporation's parent company.

Prior to that, Don worked at various CPA firms after completing college and has had a side business of preparing income tax returns and doing bookkeeping since then. This experience coupled with his above referenced financial-related real estate management background, has provided him a great deal of experience in the accounting field, and an edge over most property managers, as most do not have both types of experience. In 1997, Don retired from the large firm and started his own company, Management Associates, Inc. (MAI), the company Anna ran with him until launching MMA.

MAI handled the accounting for 22 additional HUD properties for Santa Fe Associates, Inc., a property management company for which Don was the Controller until the partners retired in 2012. Although business was conducted from our Los Angeles office, the properties were located mostly in Northern California, in addition to several out of state including Wyoming and Louisiana.

Currently, Don is semi-retired, but he is still the primary accountancy representative for MAI and spearheads the processing of MAI's customized monthly financial reports for our clients.

ANDY ROLLYSON

Senior Property Manager
IT & Marketing Consultant

A long time friend and collaborator of Anna McElroy’s, Andy joined the MMA team in 2014 as the Resident Manager at one of our coveted apartment complexes in West Hollywood. The position has given Andy the opportunity to show how resilient he is in the face of adversity, dealing with homelessness, crime and a plethora of challenges that come with managing a diverse demographic of tenants in a bustling and popular metropolitan area.

Since then Andy has become a mentor to our other building managers in handling tenant relations. Mr. Rollyson has also increased the value of our client’s investment at that building and many others by the example he sets in coordinating project management and capital improvements.

In addition, Andy has taken on many other roles at the company including helping to create the MMA brand, designing the MMA website, and designing and servicing websites for our clients, most notably the homeowners associations we manage.
